Shahin Shokoofandeh is an American artist whose parents emigrated to America from Iran in the early 1970’s. He speaks, four languages fluently, and graduated from University of Texas in American Studies. He commonly refers to his name as, Shaheen Shokoofandeh, instead of Shahin. 

He is known for having a father who is the most famous and popular sports show host in Iran Footballs history. His father Mohammad Reza Shokoofandeh, Koorosh Shokoofandeh, was the youth team captain at Persepolis Football Team in Iran before he left Iran to live in the united states, attending many football team tryouts and playing with numerous minor league teams and Making the Mexican Primer League, Tigers team the same year as the Iranian Islamic Revolution which left him unable to continue playing with the team because of The Diplomatic Situation giving no Work Visas to Iranians. 

He managed to get back into the United States and play minor league, signing with major league teams, being picked for those teams and being given full scholarships to UCLA football but was forced to retire from professional football after a shoulder injury. 

Shaheen grew concerned for the Iranian Peoples plight for free life human rights, and became a conciencious objector against the Islamic Republic of Iran and human rights activist after his father visited Islamic Republic of Iran in 2009 and was placed in Evin Prison for one year and given one year house arrest. His father has been forbade by the Islamic Republic of Iran from returning on television due to fear and threats against him and his family which lives in Iran. 

His father is one of the founders of Persian American Television and has been an active leader and Manager and Host of Persian American Radio, Television, Music, and Sports. 

During a trip to Europe, the learned that his uncle, Iranian Film Director Daryush Shokof was making a film about prison conditions and also about a young girl who escapes Iran for her brothers dying request, to do something after finding the grave of Adolf Hitler, in Germany. 

He told his uncle he was so amazed after reading the script of both films, Iran Zendan and Hitler’s Grave that he wanted to learn everything about movies through is uncle Daryush and he needed up as a producer on both films working on set and pre product and post production and getting it into two prestigious film awards in New York and Los Angeles where it won both best film and best film director for Hitlers Grave. 

Shaheen began living in Europe with his uncle in 2007 and learning about Art, becoming an avid painter and dedicated human rights critic of the Islamic Republic of Irans govt. 

His film, Art Moves, won best runner up at the Chicago Blow UP International Film Festival in 2021. 

Shaheen had a great group of friends and family in San Antonio, and Houston, Tx, and Los Angeles, Ca, which he also credits to having such a smart, free and liberal perspective on life. He spent time between Texas and California since he was a child. 

Shaheen has focused on his music since 2021, playing in London for a brief time before coronavirus, he spent the next 3 years in his room recording and playing music, he played recently at the Whiskey A Go Go and is hoping to start an international tour with his New Style of music which is to make as much music for one album as possible and make a record breaking number of songs fro one album and release it without even recording in a studio. However, he would like to meet with and try artistic collaborations with interested Music Producers. 

Shaheen considers his role as a musician, painter, and human rights ambassador, and an American with Persian Parents a great burden and hopes to do best for his country and people and promote his uncles and fathers and mothers Sports, Fashion, Art styles, and his own belief in anti-drug use, and anti-violence to support all peoples worldwide.
